Tsinghua University research team overcomes the industrialization problem of hydrogen 18650 battery lithium ion 2200mah catalyst

The bus in motion is the first bus in my country to be driven by domestically produced 18650 battery lithium ion 2200mah. It has been successfully tested in Xianning, Hubei. Compared with traditional cars, its energy conversion efficiency is as high as 50% to 80%, which is 2 to 3 times that of internal combustion engines. The application of hydrogen 18650 battery lithium ion 2200mah in Western developed countries is accelerating because it has obvious advantages over pure electric vehicles.
The core material of hydrogen 18650 battery lithium ion 2200mah - catalyst, has long relied on imports, resulting in high costs, which has restricted the independent development of my country's hydrogen energy industry. In 2015, Tsinghua University jointly developed hydrogen 18650 battery lithium ion 2200mah technology through school-enterprise cooperation. After more than two years, we finally mastered the mass production technology of fuel power lithium battery catalysts, as well as the technical upgrade and batch preparation of key components such as membrane electrodes and bipolar plates, and realized the localization of key materials and components of hydrogen fuel power lithium batteries. The cost is 50% to 80% lower than that of imported similar products, and the performance indicators of some components have exceeded those of imported products.
At present, the catalyst series products have been used in fuel power lithium battery stacks of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, universities and many fuel power lithium battery companies. A fuel power lithium battery catalyst mass production line has been built, with an output of 1,200g/day, which can meet the use of 60 fuel power lithium battery buses and has the conditions for large-scale industrial production. It is expected that the production capacity of fuel power lithium battery stacks in my country will reach 400,000 kilowatts this year.
