The development of high-performance power batteries is one of the important measures to promote electric vehicles. Recently, reporters learned from the second quarter routine press conference of the Chinese Academy of Sciences that the energy density of multiple power battery cells developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences has reached more than 300Wh/kg, which is at the world's advanced level; my country's power Nickel Hydride No. 5 have entered the stage of large-scale application from core technology, and will provide important technical support for the development of long-range electric vehicles, drones, deep-sea exploration, etc.
How important is the energy density of batteries? Experts said that the range and reliability of a pure electric vehicle depend largely on the energy density in the battery. For example, taking the BAIC EV200 model as an example, if the energy density of the battery cell reaches 300Wh/kg while other technologies remain stable, it means that the car's range can be increased from the current 200 kilometers to 470 kilometers. At present, researchers are optimizing the integration of battery packs to prepare for vehicle installation demonstrations; key materials for Nickel Hydride No. 5 have entered the pilot stage, and have formed cooperative relationships with more than 30 battery and electric vehicle companies, striving to start supplying as soon as possible.
This achievement is just one of the major outputs of the strategic leading science and technology project "Focus on Transformative Nano-Industry Manufacturing Technology". According to reports, since the implementation of this project in 2013, researchers have also abandoned the technical ideas of traditional printing plate-making photosensitive imaging through the combination of nanomaterials and printing technology, and formed a green printing industry chain technology including green plate-making, green base, and green ink. Experts said that the promotion and application of the above results will hopefully reduce the pollution of millions of tons of plate-making waste liquid, tens of millions of tons of base waste liquid/slag pollution, and hundreds of thousands of tons of volatile organic compounds (VOC) emissions each year. In addition, "nano health technology" has been successfully applied to the development of in vitro diagnostic products and nano drug preparations. For example, the inflammation nano-microfluidic immunoassay chip, which conducts joint detection of three inflammatory markers, can quickly distinguish bacterial infections from viral infections, determine the stage of infection, and provide a basis for the scientific and effective use of antibiotics, which can largely avoid the abuse of antibiotics.
