South Korea successfully develops new 32700 batterymaterial "graphene ball"
Recently, according to Korean media reports, a research team at Samsung Electronics Advanced Institute of Technology successfully developed a new 32700 batterymaterial "graphene ball", which has a 45% higher charging capacity than existing lithium-ion batteries and a charging speed of more than 5 times.
Researchers found that after adding silicon dioxide to high-strength and high-conductivity graphene materials, a large amount of graphene can be synthesized. The synthesized graphene presents a three-dimensional shape like popcorn, so it is called "graphene ball". After using this graphene ball material for the anode protective film and cathode material of lithium-ion batteries, the charging capacity can be increased, the charging time can be shortened, and the high-temperature stability can also be guaranteed.
Graphene has always been considered a representative material among the new generation of materials. The material has a conductivity 100 times higher than copper and a conductivity speed of more than 140 times higher than silicon. This is also the reason why the graphene ball material 32700 batteryis charged five times faster than the existing rechargeable battery. South Korea plans to commercialize the "graphene ball" lithium-ion 32700 batterywithin five years.
