Graphene-based 14250 battery: a technological revolution in human materials

As the thinnest, hardest, and most conductive and thermally conductive new nanomaterial discovered so far, graphene is called "black gold" and "the king of new materials". Scientists even predict that graphene will become a "black technology" that will completely change the 21st century.

Since it was first artificially produced 12 years ago, it has become a global goal to bring graphene, which has broad application prospects in the fields of electronic information, new materials, new energy, and biomedicine, into the field of industrial production.

Therefore, when the Watt Laboratory of Huawei Central Research Institute announced at the 57th Japan Battery Conference that it would "launch the industry's first high-temperature and long-life graphene-based lithium-ion battery", the country was boiling. Although later facts showed that this "graphene-based battery" was not a "graphene battery", it did not affect people's expectations for Huawei's breakthrough in the field of graphene. (The actual situation is that I don't expect it at all)

In the summer of 2014, Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei said in his first media interview that a technological revolution would definitely break out in the next 10 to 20 years. The graphene era subverts the silicon era. According to this statement, it feels like there is still a long way to go.

Is graphene 14250 battery really a revolutionary technology?

Let's take a look at the advantages and disadvantages of graphene batteries

      Advantages:

1: Low cost, 77% lower than 14250 battery cost

      2. High energy density, endurance can reach 1000km, can completely abandon gasoline cars

3: High stability, long battery life

Disadvantages: The above are all media and expert propaganda, whether it is true or not, who knows! Anyway, it has been almost 17 years, and I have never seen a graphene battery product.

Industry insiders believe that it is probably too early for graphene. At present, graphene is still a product of scientific laboratories and can only be extracted from graphite in very small quantities. Therefore, graphene itself is very expensive and cannot be mass-produced, let alone commercially used in the market.

What's more, this is also competing with traditional lithium batteries, but how cheap traditional lithium batteries are, everyone knows, they are sold by the ton.

At present, electric cars take half a day to charge, and can only run a few dozen miles. Basically, they dare not go on the road. There is no practical value, no market, and no vitality. If electric cars are to be popularized, graphene super batteries must be used to completely solve the fatal defects of long charging time and short battery life of electric cars. Only in this way can they be accepted by consumers and have unlimited vitality.

Charge for 5 minutes and run 1,000 kilometers. Oh my god, high-voltage charging is not possible, haha (just a joke). We can only hope that graphene batteries will come out.
