      1. Based on actual usage needs

      Large scale energy storage: It generally involves comprehensive factors such as environmental protection, service life, and space occupation. It is recommended to use lithium iron phosphate battery cells, especially lithium iron phosphate cells, which are more suitable for large capacity battery packs.

      Small capacity storage: 18650, 26650, and 32650 lithium iron phosphate battery cells can generally be selected.

      Low power: In general, the same type of battery as small capacity storage can be used, or relatively safe ternary material system cells can be selected, which can consider both volume specific energy and weight specific energy issues.

      Electric portable tools: Generally, 18650 ternary battery cells are used, and polymer lithium cobalt oxide battery cells with high energy requirements can be considered.

      Intelligent products: It is ideal to choose batteries with the same volume and small internal resistance, which can better design the capacity and meet the usage requirements.

      2. Discharge rate

      The usage rate of ordinary products does not exceed 0.5C, and lithium-ion batteries with ordinary ingredients are sufficient. When using more than 1C, the lifespan and usage environment of the product should be considered, especially the charging environment. Generally, lithium-ion batteries need to be charged at a reduced rate in high and low temperature conditions. That is, batteries that should have been charged at 1C, especially in high and low temperature conditions, should have a charging current less than 1C. Lithium ion batteries with discharge greater than 2C are called rate batteries, and generally require special ingredients to meet usage requirements. If ordinary battery cells are used, it can cause low lifespan, safety hazards, and other adverse situations.

      3. Temperature environment

      According to different temperature environments, batteries can be divided into three categories: high-temperature cells, low-temperature cells, and conventional cells. Generally, high-temperature battery cells refer to those stored at high temperatures. If the protection plate design can provide protection at high temperatures, it can provide good usage conditions for lithium-ion batteries. It is recommended to set the high-temperature discharge protection at 70 ℃, the high-temperature charging protection at 55 ℃ is more suitable, and the charging conditions for lithium-ion batteries are 0-45 ℃. Small current charging within the 45 ℃ range is not a big problem.

      4. Use the lower limit voltage of the platform

      When selecting batteries, fully consider the voltage range of electrical appliances to ensure that lithium-ion batteries can be fully utilized. Therefore, when choosing a lithium-ion battery, it is important to first understand which voltage range of the product should be used, choose the correct voltage range of the lithium-ion battery, and make the entire product design more reasonable.
