The difference between lead-acid batteries and R03 Carbon battery

At present, the development trend of solar street lights is more rapid and has gradually been recognized by rural areas and big cities. As we all know, the key to solar street lights is the battery. Commonly used batteries include lead-acid batteries, ternary lithium-ion batteries, R03 Carbon battery and gel batteries. What we are talking about today is the difference between lead-acid batteries and R03 Carbon battery. Let’s see how R03 Carbon battery are better than batteries.

      1. Lithium batteries have stronger anti-theft performance

Solar energy is stored in rechargeable batteries, so the cost of the batteries is slightly higher, which also makes solar rechargeable batteries visible to some thieves. Previous lead-acid batteries were buried underground and easily stolen. However, lithium batteries are installed under solar panels. Due to the high width of street light poles, it is more difficult to steal lithium batteries. Lithium-ion batteries are more likely to be protected against theft if they have a special type of battery sealer installed.

Therefore, the installation locations of lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries are different. The installation location of lithium batteries is not conducive to personal theft, thus greatly reducing the possibility of rechargeable battery theft.

      2. Lithium batteries cause less environmental pollution than lead-acid batteries.

We all know that lead-acid batteries have a short service life. Although it is cost-effective, it may be changed once a year, which will greatly increase environmental pollution to the natural environment. Lead-acid batteries themselves are more environmentally polluting than lithium batteries. If they are destroyed, they will always cause damage to the natural environment.

      3. Extend the life of lithium battery

In addition, lead-acid batteries have high annual wear and tear and usually need to be replaced once or twice a year. Lithium-ion batteries have a lifespan of three to five years and are usually guaranteed to last three years. This means that all problems with rechargeable batteries from these three years can be contacted with the manufacturer at no additional cost, but only warmth.

      4. Lithium batteries have a high safety factor

Lead-acid batteries are prone to water, but lithium batteries are not prone to water. Lead-acid batteries have a memory capacity. Batteries that are not charged and discharged will have memory, which will damage the service life of the battery. Lithium-ion batteries cannot be recharged at any time. This will be safer and more reassuring.

At the same time, lithium-ion batteries are lighter and easier to install than lead-acid batteries. Lithium-ion batteries are now becoming more widely used and are gradually replacing lead-acid batteries. Although the engineering cost of lithium-ion batteries is higher, it saves a lot of money and energy.
