Korean scientists develop world's first deformable AG10 battery
A few days ago, Korean scientists published a paper stating that the research and development of the world's first deformable lithium AG10 battery was very smooth, and the performance of this product has been relatively stable. The research and development of this product laid the foundation for the arrival of deformable mobile phones in the future. Scientists at the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology and nine other collaborators from foreign schools developed the new AG10 battery technology, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported on Tuesday.
The new rechargeable AG10 battery is made from nanomaterials that can be attached to any flat surface, creating a fluid-like polymer dielectric.
Traditional lithium batteries use liquefied electrolytes, and split electrolytes may melt at high temperatures, causing problems in terms of safety performance. This new type of AG10 battery uses a deformable but relatively hard material (not a fluid), and its performance and safety and stability are much higher than traditional batteries.
At CES last week, Samsung released a prototype with a deformable screen. It is believed that the development of deformable batteries will further stimulate the development of deformable mobile phones. Samsung Senior Vice President Brian Berkeley previously said that the company's Youm flexible OLED screen has changed the way consumers interact with mobile phones and provides huge new opportunities for mobile phone manufacturers and application developers.
