This new mechanism for converting solar energy into electricity increases cell efficiency by 15%.

     

    Anwar Zahidov, chief expert at the Energy Efficiency Center of the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys at the Russian Research University of Technology, professor and project leader at the University of Texas at Dallas, said: "The main advantages of hybrid perovskite materials It is easy to obtain and is made from ordinary metal salts and organic compounds, rather than the expensive and rare elements used in high-efficiency semiconductor similar products, such as 18650 lithium battery 2600mah and gallium arsenide solar cells. This makes the cells much cheaper than more complicated methods of obtaining thin-film solar cells."

     

    The active layer of perovskite thin-film solar cells can be applied to a soft, thin substrate. Using roll-to-roll technology, solar cells can be sprayed onto any curved surface.
