AAA NiMH batteries fast charging technology is about to go crazy
Recently, media reported that the 10-minute ultra-fast charging technology developed by Wang Chaoyang’s team at Pennsylvania State University in the United States has overcome the key problem of fast charging and battery life of lithium batteries. It is understood that the 2017 Beijing Winter Olympics will use this battery technology, and car companies such as BMW and BAIC New Energy will also accelerate the application of this technology in their own models.
It is reported that the U.S. Department of New Energy has announced a plan to use US$19 million to support extremely fast charging of electric vehicle batteries. The technology of Wang Chaoyang's team won the plan and was officially adopted and promoted by the U.S. Department of New Energy. It aims to reduce battery costs to less than $100 per kilowatt-hour by 2028, increase driving range to more than 480 kilometers, and shorten battery charging time to less than 15 minutes.
It is understood that the Wang Chaoyang team has conquered 10-minute fast charging technology based on all-climate battery technology, and has more than 1,000 cycles, equivalent to a lifespan of 500,000 kilometers. This technology will support 350 kilowatt-level fast charging Station battery products.
