      1. The height of the battery without a board is 65mm, while the height of the battery with a board is 69-71mm.

      2. Discharge to 20V, if the battery does not discharge when it reaches 2.4V, it indicates that there is a protective board.

      3. If there is no response from the battery after 10 seconds of touching the positive and negative stages, it indicates that there is a protective plate. If the battery is hot, it means there is no protective plate.

      Attention: The third point of testing should not be conducted by professionals, as it may cause a powerful explosion and irreversible personal harm, especially when encountering inferior batteries.

      How to identify whether 18650 lithium batteries have protective plates

      Method 1: The length of a 18650 lithium battery is 650mm, and if it exceeds 1mm, a circular protective plate is often installed at the negative electrode;

      Method 2: Use a 10A or 20A ammeter to instantly test the short-circuit current of the 18650 lithium battery. If the ammeter shows a reading that quickly turns to zero, it indicates that the 18650 lithium battery has a protective plate. If the ammeter shows a large reading or overload, the battery does not have a protective plate or the protective plate is invalid.
