      The price of battery grade lithium carbonate has also significantly increased in recent years, with manufacturers in the eastern region of China having a factory price of 165000 yuan/ton, while the price of cobalt tetroxide has increased from less than 150 yuan/kg in 2016 to nearly 400 yuan/kg. According to the industry, according to the national development plan for new energy vehicles, by 2020, the cumulative production and sales of pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles in China will exceed 5 million, and by that time, the scrapped power batteries will reach a scale of 120000-170000 tons.
