      What are the UPS battery structure and main technical parameters? The technical parameters of the battery are very important to the system design. UPS usually consists of 7 parts: input rectifier filter circuit, power factor correction circuit, battery pack, charging circuit, inverter circuit, static switch circuit, control detection circuit and protection circuit. The UPS battery is in a charging state when the mains power supply is normal. Once the mains power is interrupted, the battery immediately outputs the stored DC power to the inverter and converts it into AC power to supply the computer equipment, maintaining the continuity of power supply to the computer equipment.

      UPS battery structural elements

      1) Rectifier: A rectifier is a rectifying device. Simply put, it is a device that converts AC into DC. It has two main functions: first, it converts alternating current into direct current, and supplies it to the load or inverter after filtering; second, it provides charging voltage to the battery. Therefore, it also functions as a charger;

      2) Inverter: Generally speaking, an inverter is a device that converts direct current into alternating current. It consists of an inverter bridge, control logic and filter circuit;

      3) Battery: The battery is a device used by UPS batteries to store electrical energy. It is composed of several batteries connected in series. Its capacity determines the time it can maintain discharge (power supply). Its main functions are: 1. When the mains power is normal, it converts electrical energy into chemical energy and stores it inside the battery. 2. When the mains fails, chemical energy is converted into electrical energy and provided to the inverter or load;

      4) Static switch: Static switch is also called static switch. It is a non-contact switch. It is an AC switch composed of two silicon controlled thyristors (SCR) connected in reverse parallel. Its closing and opening are controlled by a logic controller. control. It is divided into two types: conversion type and parallel type. The transfer switch is mainly used in systems with two power supplies, and its function is to realize automatic switching from one power supply to the other; the parallel switch is mainly used for parallel inverters and mains or multiple inverters.

      The battery consists of positive plate, negative plate, separator (paper), lead nails, battery shell, cover, positive pole, negative pole, rubber cap and electrolyte.

      A battery is a device that directly converts chemical energy into electrical energy. It is a battery designed to be rechargeable. It can be recharged through a reversible chemical reaction. It usually refers to a lead-acid battery. It is a type of battery and is a secondary battery. Battery. Its working principle: when charging, it uses external electrical energy to regenerate the internal active materials, stores the electrical energy as chemical energy, and converts the chemical energy into electrical energy again when it needs to be discharged, such as mobile phone batteries commonly used in daily life.

      Four major functions of UPS

      Non-power outage function - solve the problem of power outage in the power grid

      AC voltage stabilization function - can solve the problem of severe fluctuations in network voltage

      Purification function - solving the problem of power grid and power supply pollution

      Management function - solve AC power maintenance problems

      What are the main technical parameters of UPS batteries?

      1.Battery capacity

      The capacity of a UPS battery is determined by the amount of active material in the battery, which is usually expressed in Ah or mAh. For example, the nominal capacity of 250Ah (10hr, 1.80V/cell, 25℃) refers to the capacity released by discharging at a current of 25A for 10 hours at 25℃ to reduce the voltage of a single battery to 1.80V.

      2. Rated voltage

      The potential difference between the positive and negative terminals of the battery is called the rated voltage of the UPS battery. Common lead-acid batteries have three rated voltages: 2V, 6V, and 12V. A single lead-acid battery is 2V, and a 12V battery is made up of six single batteries connected in series.

      The actual voltage of the battery is not a constant value. The voltage is high when there is no load, and the voltage will decrease when there is a load. When there is a sudden large current discharge, the voltage will also drop suddenly. There is an approximately linear relationship between the battery voltage and the remaining power. This simple correlation only exists under no load conditions. When a load is applied, the battery voltage is distorted by the voltage drop caused by the battery's internal impedance.

      3. Maximum charge and discharge current

      The battery is bidirectional and has two states, charging and discharging. This current is limited. Different batteries have different maximum charging and discharging currents.

      The battery charging and discharging current has a great relationship with the system. If it is not designed well, it will affect the performance of the system. The charging current is related to the component power. For example, in a system, the component is 5kW and the UPS battery pack voltage is 48V, then the maximum charging current of the battery is About 100A. If it is an ordinary lead-acid battery with a maximum current of 0.1C, the battery capacity is at least 1000AH; if it is a lead-carbon battery with a maximum current of 0.25C, the battery capacity is at least 400AH.

      4. Discharge depth and cycle life

      During the use of UPS batteries, the percentage of capacity released by the battery to its rated capacity is called the depth of discharge. The depth of discharge has a close relationship with the battery life. The deeper the depth of discharge, the shorter the charging life.

      The UPS battery undergoes one charge and discharge, which is called a cycle (one cycle). Under certain discharge conditions, the number of cycles that the battery can withstand before the battery reaches a certain specified capacity value is called cycle life. Various batteries have different cycle times. Traditional fixed lead-acid batteries have a cycle life of about 500 to 600 times; starter lead-acid batteries have a cycle life of about 300 to 500 times; valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries have a cycle life of 1000 to 1200 times.
