Currently, battery packs using this battery have an energy density of 300Wh/kg, with a target of 400Wh/kg by the end of 2019.
This kind of battery is mainly used in fields such as large drones. If you want to apply it in the field of electric vehicles in the future, there are still some problems that need to be solved, including cycle life, power output, charging time, etc. However, OXIS has currently received a LiSFAB-funded project, which aims to provide performance in terms of battery power and cycle life. Once a breakthrough is made, the battery energy density of future vehicles may also be expected to be significantly improved.
