      Xin Xuezhe believes that the automotive power battery market will have great development, especially as regulations in various countries are further strengthened and consumer enthusiasm is rising. The great improvement of battery performance and the further improvement of charging infrastructure will become a very large driving force for the growth of the new energy vehicle market. The new energy electric vehicle market will reach 15 million vehicles by 2025.

      Among them, China will remain the leader in the global electric vehicle market, accounting for half of the world's basic output and demand; in Europe, the transformation of electric vehicles is also accelerating, because greenhouse gas emission regulations are more stringent and restrictive, and the entire region The strategic direction is also the strategic direction of major OEM manufacturers.       Xin Xuezhe emphasized that LG Chem will continue to follow legal and market changes in various countries and pay more attention to fast charging in materials and cell design.

      1. In the material link, ensure higher specific energy security by adding aluminum to the nickel-rich nickel-cobalt-manganese structure to improve structural stability (NCMA); develop low-cobalt technology to reduce dependence on cobalt materials and improve sustainability .

      Regarding the development direction of next-generation batteries, Xin Xuezhe said that LG Chem will work hard to develop solid-state lithium-ion batteries. The main innovation points focus on two aspects. One is solid-state lithium-ion batteries, hoping to ensure the safety and stability of the technology and be consistent with existing technologies. Compared to a significant improvement. The second is lithium metal materials. The company is also focusing on the development of lithium-sulfur batteries and developing high-energy-density and low-cost lithium-sulfur batteries.

      The first is to develop the next generation of main EV/PHEV products, lead the market in terms of safety, cruising range, and fast charging, and focus on global OEM core projects.

      The third is global operation, optimizing the production of power battery factories in South Korea, China (Nanjing/Binjiang), the United States, and Poland, strengthening local technical support, and establishing intelligent factories.

      The fourth is to strengthen technology for future businesses, optimize cell materials and design to achieve differentiation; strengthen research and development capabilities to prepare for the post-lithium battery era.
