The positive electrode materials of iron phosphate batteries mainly include lithium manganese oxide, lithium ferrite, lithium cobalt oxide, and lithium iron phosphate, among which lithium cobalt oxide is the main positive electrode material.
2、 Different applications
Lithium iron phosphate batteries are generally used in buses, electric vehicles, or large electric vehicles. Sightseeing buses, hybrid vehicles, golf carts, forklifts, and small flatbed batteries are also commonly seen with these types of batteries. In addition, some tools such as electric saws, drills, and lawnmowers may also be used.
Ternary lithium batteries are generally used for some electric tools, wireless or electronic devices, and electric transportation vehicles. It can be said that the application of lithium iron phosphate batteries is more extensive.
3、 Different properties
The ternary lithium battery is a type of lithium battery, while the lithium battery with iron phosphate as the positive electrode is a type of lithium-ion battery, and there is a fundamental difference between the two.
The above is the difference between lithium iron phosphate batteries and ternary lithium batteries. From a usage perspective, ternary batteries perform relatively well at low temperatures and are not recommended for full use in daily life. However, iron phosphate batteries perform better in warm areas and have a longer lifespan than ternary lithium batteries. They are also technologically updated, smaller in size, lighter in weight, and easier to use. In terms of battery life, iron phosphate batteries also perform better than ternary batteries, and another important feature is that the price is also more reasonable, which is widely accepted by the public.
