Everyone knows that I bought a pure electric car Euler R1 a few months ago, and since then charging has become a part of my daily life. In fact, I didn't plan to install a charging pile at first, because the columnar charging pile standing at the rear of the car was a bit ugly (I didn't know if it could be wall-mounted at first), and my parking space is relatively narrow, so installing the charging pile may cause inconvenience. . Therefore, in the past few months, I have only been charging at my wife’s company, or I have been charging quickly while eating. But these few months of charging experience have made me determined to install a charging pile. I won’t go into details about my wife’s company. Three or four electric vehicles compete for a slow charging station, but often they can’t get it. Even though fast charging is convenient and fast, it can be fully charged in just one meal, but the experience is still the same. It is very imperfect and has many flaws that need to be filled. This is also the focus of this article. 1. Charging piles are mixed, and no strong brand dominates. These shortcomings made me determined to install charging piles. For now, the pattern of charging piles is similar to that of shared bicycles in previous years. Entrepreneurial projects supported by big capital are burning money to secure land. However, the State Grid (China Southern Power Grid in the south), which has the best hope of unifying the world, has very few charging piles and is basically not used. This results in almost all brands of charging piles being located in the same place, which feels like a battle between princes. The trouble that brings to our users is that every time they go to different places to charge, they are almost of different brands, and each time they have to download an App to register or register with a WeChat applet. So far, I have nearly 7 Apps or mini-programs on my phone (including: Xingxing, Xiaopeng, Jinzhuang, etc.), and each charging pile requires recharge to use, which often costs a few dollars. It feels really wasteful to keep it if you can't use it up. 2. In some places, parking fees are more expensive than charging electricity. Fast charging uses commercial electricity, and most electricity costs are around 1.5 yuan, which is three times that of household electricity. Because electricity bills are already expensive, many charging piles have signed agreements with parking lots. For example, you can park for an hour or two for free while charging. It's okay if you sign a full agreement, but as mentioned before, the charging piles are still a mixed bag. Some parking is free and some are not. It's troublesome to ask before entering the parking lot every time you charge. And often these paid parking lots are still in urban areas, and parking fees are very expensive. For example, in the Poly Plaza across from our company, Star Charging has charging piles underground. You can say that the benefits of charging for parking are indeed there. There are charging stations there all year round, but I feel really worried about the parking fee every time I finish charging. The parking fee of 16 yuan plus the charging fee almost catches up with the gas cost. Not to mention that PHEV models can only use slow charging, which is not as cost-effective as driving a fuel vehicle. 3. There are great risks in open-air parking lots on rainy days. These shortcomings made me determined to install charging piles. For safety reasons, most fast-charging stations are now located in open-air parking lots. On sunny days, it is fine just for the sun. , but there are many problems on rainy days. Inconvenience is still a small problem. The main problem is that when you plug in and unplug the power interface, rainwater easily falls in. I once tried to accidentally let rainwater fall in (or the second time). I didn’t know until the customer service told me about it the other day). After charging, the whole car couldn’t start at all. It said that the battery was faulty and needed to be repaired. This made me panic. I was worried that it would explode like a Tesla. . 4. Plugging in the charging gun is really laborious work, and I often encounter broken piles. This is what my wife complained to me. Because the charging power of the fast charging pile is very high, the charging cable is very thick. On the one hand, it is heavy, and on the other hand, It is not easy to bend. This makes inserting the charging gun a physical job, especially for girls with little strength. And one thing that makes my wife very unhappy is that she often gets into a charging pile and spends a long time inserting the gun. It turns out that it is a bad charging pile and cannot recognize our car, so we have to repeat this physical work with another one. . 5. Whether fast charging has an impact on the battery remains to be verified. It is these shortcomings that made me determined to install a charging pile. In fact, I am also a little confused about whether fast charging has an impact on the battery, especially with so many brands of charging piles ( Some of them cannot recognize my car). Of course, my car has not encountered any bad conditions so far, but the 4S store told me that fast charging is not good for the battery, so try not to charge it to more than 80%. Some car owners have experienced battery levels below 20%. % of the time, the fast charge cannot be charged, which cannot be ruled out as the manufacturer's battery protection strategy. However, the impact of fast charging on batteries is still an unsolved mystery that cannot be confirmed. So the ideal is very full, but it still cannot match the very basic reality. After these few months of experience, fast charging has indeed brought me great convenience (especially when I just got the car and the charging station has not yet arrived) . But for people like me who commute a lot and need to charge once every two or three days, or for PHEV models that take a long time to charge, having your own charging pile is really convenient and improves happiness. Exponential things. The matter of installing the charging pile has been decided. If you are interested, I will share with you my charging pile installation process after the installation of the charging pile is completed.
