I have talked to you before about the dry recycling technology of lithium battery pack recycling. So since there is a dry method, there must be a wet method and wet recycling technology. As can be seen from its name, wet recovery technology mainly uses chemical solutions for dissolution and separation. It mainly consists of three major steps, hydrometallurgy, chemical extraction and ion exchange. Hydrometallurgy uses appropriate chemical reagents to dissolve and separate metal elements in lithium battery pack materials. This method is low-cost but only suitable for small and medium-sized lithium battery packs. Chemical extraction uses organic reagents to form complexes with the metal ions to be separated, and then separates the metal. Organic reagents are prone to secondary pollution. Ion exchange uses the adsorption of ion exchange resins to separate different metals. The process is simple and easy to operate. The advantages of wet recovery technology are low equipment and operation requirements, high purity of separated materials, and no pollution to the air. The disadvantages are slow chemical reaction speed and less separated materials.
