      The separator is an important part of the lithium battery. It is located between the positive and negative electrodes inside the battery, ensuring the passage of lithium ions while hindering the transmission of electrons. The performance of the separator determines the interface structure, internal resistance, etc. of the battery, which directly affects the battery's capacity, cycle, safety performance and other characteristics. Excellent separators play an important role in improving the overall performance of the battery.

      For the wet process, the extrusion mixing process of resin and additives and the stretching process are the two core issues of the process. The extrusion process requires good material mixing, strong plasticizing ability, and stable extrusion process. The stretching process determines the orientation of the molecular chains and whether the pore-forming agent is evenly distributed. For the dry process, in addition to the extrusion mixing process, the melt drafting ratio and heat treatment are core processes.

      At present, the global manufacturers of separators mainly use wet process. Wet process separators are more expensive. In the future, wet process separators will still take a high-end market route in power batteries, while mid-to-low-end power batteries will still be dominated by dry process. .
