Fast battery charging is one of the most important and difficult technologies affecting the acceptance of electric vehicles. Due to complex electrochemical reactions, rapid charging may affect battery function and accelerate its aging process. The accelerated aging process during fast charging will significantly reduce battery life and affect battery safety, and must be avoided. We propose a battery health-based fast charging technology that aims to simultaneously reduce charging time as well as battery degradation. This technology is based on the battery physical model and battery decay model. Through multi-objective optimal control, the optimal charging strategy is obtained to prevent battery aging. Experimental data shows that the optimized fast charging strategy based on battery health significantly shortens the charging time and significantly avoids battery aging. Using our battery health fast charging technology, the energy battery can be fully charged at 2C (30 minutes), but its lifespan reaches the level of 1C (60 minutes full). Compared with the existing constant current-constant voltage charging technology on the market, our technology can optimize the corresponding charging strategy based on the health status of the battery to prevent battery aging and shorten the battery charging time. Compared with the fast charging technology on the market, with our fast charging technology, the battery life is greatly protected. With the development of electric vehicles and new energy sources, charging technology that protects battery health has become increasingly urgent. China's electric vehicle charging infrastructure is still in its initial state, and there is huge space. Fast charging technology based on battery health will be widely used in electric vehicle charging, mobile phone, laptop charging and other fields, and the market is extremely broad.
