According to foreign media reports, clean technology company Aceleron has developed Essential, a fully renewable and recyclable lithium battery that can be repaired, bought and sold, upgraded, and can also replace lead-acid batteries in automotive applications. In addition, the battery’s modular nature enables its reuse and reproduction, and its long life means it is also more earth-friendly.

Aceleron's Essential battery is the first reusable, repairable and fully recyclable lithium battery, and has a larger capacity than previous batteries, with a peak power of 200A+. The company uses self-developed compression technology to allow every part of the battery to be repaired, replaced or upgraded, meaning it has an infinite lifespan.

The Essential battery adopts a lightweight, strong and flexible design, making it both practical and portable. A Group-31 battery can power an RV, all-terrain vehicle (ATV) or remote telecommunications station. The Essential battery is the same size as the lead-acid Group-31 battery (a large, high-power battery commonly used in marine, automotive and off-grid applications) but is twice as lightweight.
