1、 Do not over discharge
The lithium battery discharge platform has a certain amount of time, which depends on the power of the robot. If the robot continues to work and runs out of battery when the lithium battery has 20% remaining power, it will cause excessive discharge of the lithium battery, which often reduces the service life of the lithium battery. Replacing a lithium battery on a general robot is quite expensive, so it is still important to pay attention to proper maintenance in daily life.
2、 Using the manufacturer's original charger
For charging lithium-ion batteries, a dedicated lithium-ion battery charger should be used. The charging of lithium-ion batteries adopts a CC/CV method (constant current+constant voltage), which means that the charging is carried out at a constant current. When the voltage reaches 4.2 V * n, it switches to constant voltage charging until the current decreases to 0.01C and the charging stops.
3、 When not in use for a long time, the lithium battery should be charged to 95% before being stored and cannot be left empty
The storage, transportation, and shipment of lithium batteries are all in a semi charged state, with a voltage of approximately 3.83V. Full charge (4.18-4.19V) is prone to safety accidents, and polymer lithium battery soft packs may cause gas explosion. A dead state (below 3.0V) can cause significant damage to the battery and result in severe lattice collapse of the electrode material. After reading the following set of data, it becomes clear:
