In China, apart from a few units in Taiwan that have developed relatively simple protection chips, in recent years, although some mainland units have started researching lithium-ion battery protection circuits, they are still in their early stages, with low accuracy and no unified protection standards. More importantly, there is currently no independent circuit with independent property rights in China.

      Currently, in order to strike a balance between the longest battery life and the lightest weight, more and more portable devices such as mobile phones, cameras, etc. are using a single lithium-ion battery as the main power source. The current research on management chips for single lithium-ion batteries focuses on:

      ① In addition to effective management of the battery charging process, it is also more urgent to achieve full protection of the charging and usage process. This requires the chip not only to have complete protection functions, but also to achieve practical requirements for detection and control accuracy of protection accuracy such as battery voltage and delay time.

      ② Efforts should be made to reduce power consumption as much as possible to extend the service life of the power supply battery. As part of the packaged battery, the driver of the chip always comes from the managed battery, so it is required that the chip has a sufficiently low current consumption.
