2. Explosion prevention measures
① When charging a lithium battery, it is necessary to set the upper limit of the charging voltage and the lower limit of the discharge voltage, with ideal values of 4.2V and 2.4V, respectively. Therefore, life, capacity, and safety can be considered simultaneously. In addition, the upper limit of the current is also very necessary.
② The best method is to design a circuit board with battery protection. Although this will increase the manufacturing cost of lithium batteries, it is necessary for the safe use of lithium batteries, and all legitimate lithium battery manufacturers cannot avoid this design.
③ The protection of lithium batteries should include: upper limit of charging voltage, lower limit of discharge voltage, and upper limit of current. Generally speaking, in a lithium battery pack, in addition to the lithium battery core, there is also a protective board that mainly provides these three protections. However, these three protections of the protective board are clearly insufficient, and lithium battery explosions still occur frequently worldwide.
