      Power batteries are a new type of high-energy battery developed successfully in the 20th century. The negative pole of this battery is graphite and other materials, and the positive pole is Lithium iron phosphate, lithium cobalate, Lithium titanate, etc. In the 1970s, it entered practicality. Due to its advantages such as high energy, high battery voltage, wide operating temperature scale, and long storage life, it has been widely used in military and civilian small electrical appliances.

      High voltage

      It is 3 times of that of Nickel–cadmium battery, Nickel–metal hydride battery and nearly 2 times of that of lead-acid battery, which is also an important reason for the high specific energy of power battery. Therefore, when forming power battery packs with the same voltage, the number of power batteries in series will be much less than that of lead-acid batteries and Nickel–metal hydride battery. If there are more individual batteries in the power battery, the consistency requirements for individual batteries in the battery pack will be higher, and the lifespan will be worse. In practical use, after analyzing the problems of the battery pack, it is generally one or two individual batteries that have problems, leading to problems in the entire battery pack. Therefore, it is not difficult to understand why 48V lead-acid batteries have higher reactions than 36V lead-acid batteries, From this perspective, lithium batteries are more suitable for the use of power batteries. For example, a 36V lithium battery only requires 10 individual cells, while a 36V lead-acid battery requires 18 individual cells, or 3 12V battery packs. Each 12V lead-acid battery consists of six individual cells, or six individual cells.

      Light weight

      The power battery manufacturer tells you that the specific energy is large, up to 150Wh/Kg, twice that of Nickel–metal hydride battery, and four times that of lead-acid battery, so the weight is one third to one quarter of that of lead-acid battery with the same energy. From this perspective, the resources of lithium power consumption are less, and because the reserves of elements used in lithium manganate batteries are relatively large, the price of lead-acid batteries and Nickel–metal hydride battery may be further increased, On the contrary, the cost of power batteries has further decreased. The battery weight for electric bicycles is 2.2-4 kilograms, the weight of lead-acid batteries is 12-20 kilograms, and the lithium battery weight is about one-fourth to one-third of that of lead-acid batteries, which is about 10 kilograms lighter than lead-acid batteries (36V, 10Ah batteries). The battery weight is reduced by 70%, and the total weight of the vehicle is reduced by at least 20%. In addition, most lithium-ion electric scooters are simple electric bicycles because the battery is lighter than the entire vehicle, and batteries with the same voltage and capacity have a longer travel distance. The weight of an ordinary electric bicycle is over 40 kilograms, while the weight of a power battery electric bicycle is between 7 and 26 kilograms.
