Under low temperature conditions, the chemical reaction rate of the battery slows down, which can lead to a decrease in battery capacity, longer charging time, and a decrease in range.

      For example, low temperatures in winter can slow down the chemical reactions of electric vehicle batteries, prolong charging time, and reduce the power of lithium-ion batteries.       In practical applications, the battery management system (BMS) of electric vehicles also plays an important role in ensuring the safe operation of batteries under extreme temperatures by accurately controlling safety boundaries such as temperature, voltage, and current, as well as identifying risks and issuing warnings.

      At the same time, the thermal management design of the battery, such as using heat pump technology, can provide the required heat for the battery and the cabin in winter without excessively consuming the battery's power.
