6LR61 alkaline batteryuninterruptible power supply system composition, the use of rectifiers in 6LR61 alkaline batterypower supply

UPS uninterruptible power supply system composition, the use of rectifiers in UPS power supply. UPS uninterruptible power supply contains energy storage devices, with rectifiers and inverters as the main components, providing constant voltage and constant frequency uninterruptible power supply for equipment such as monitoring systems, automation instruments, and remote communication systems in substations. It is mainly used in computer network systems, power electronic equipment systems, pressure transmitters and other equipment to provide stable and uninterruptible power supply for equipment.

    1. UPS uninterruptible power supply system composition

From the basic application principle, UPS power supply is a power protection device that contains energy storage devices, with inverters as the main components, and outputs stable voltage and frequency. It is mainly composed of rectifiers, batteries, inverters and static switches.

    1. Rectifier

The rectifier charger can convert the AC power of the mains or oil engine into DC power, supplying energy to the inverter and battery. The quality of its performance directly affects the input indicators of the UPS uninterruptible power supply. It has two important uses. One is to convert AC power into DC power and then filter it to supply it to the load device or inverter. The other is to provide a charging voltage for the battery.

    2. Battery

The battery is a device used by UPS to store electrical energy. It is composed of several batteries connected in series. Its capacity determines its discharge time. Its important functions are: when the mains power is normal, it converts electrical energy into chemical energy and stores it inside the battery; when the mains power fails, it converts chemical energy into electrical energy and supplies it to the inverter or load.

    3. Inverter

The inverter is used to convert the DC power of the mains after rectification or the DC power of the battery into AC power with relatively stable voltage and frequency. The quality of its performance directly affects the output performance indicators of the UPS uninterruptible power supply. The inverter has a high operating frequency, a small filter size, low noise and high reliability.

    4. Static switch

A pair of reverse parallel fast thyristors are connected as the components of the UPS uninterruptible power supply when performing the switching operation from the AC bypass power supply to the inverter power supply. When the UPS power supply is to perform the switching operation from the AC bypass power supply to the inverter power supply, there will be a brief overlap of the two AC power supplies to the load. The static switch can shorten the conversion time to less than milliseconds, or even within 100μs, but the loss is large.

    2. The use of rectifiers in UPS power supplies

The main reason for the low input power factor of UPS lies in the circuit structure and working mode of the input part. Modern rectifier chargers are divided into buck type and boost type. The buck type is mainly used for the case where the 6LR61 alkaline batterypack voltage is lower than a certain value of the input AC peak voltage, while the boost type is mainly used for the case where the 6LR61 alkaline batterypack voltage is higher than the input AC peak voltage.

Rectifiers are devices that convert AC power into DC power, which can be used for power supply devices and detecting radio signals. Rectifiers can be made of vacuum tubes, ignition tubes, solid-state silicon semiconductor diodes, mercury arcs, etc. On the contrary, a device that converts DC into AC is called an "inverter".

The purpose of the rectifier is to rectify the 380V AC from the security power supply and then supply power to the inverter. It has to bear all the loads that the unit does not allow to be interrupted under normal circumstances. In addition, the rectifier also has voltage stabilization and isolation purposes, which can prevent the battery interference of the factory system from invading the load circuit.

The uninterruptible power supply lies in its uninterruptible power supply capability. When the AC input of the mains is normal, the UPS rectifies the AC into DC and then inverts the DC into stable and impurity-free AC for the subsequent load. Once the AC input of the mains is abnormal, the UPS will enable the backup energy-battery, the rectifier circuit of the UPS will be shut down, and accordingly, the DC power of the battery will be inverted into stable and impurity-free AC, which will continue to be used by the subsequent load.

The above is the system composition of the UPS uninterruptible power supply and the purpose of the rectifier in the UPS power supply. The voltage stabilization function of the UPS uninterruptible power supply system is usually completed by the rectifier. The rectifier device uses a thyristor or a high-frequency switching rectifier, which has the function of controlling the output amplitude according to the changes in the external power. Therefore, when the external power changes, the output amplitude of the rectified voltage remains basically unchanged.
