    Analysis of the r6 battery processing process and procedures

     

    Power lithium-ion batteries and energy storage batteries have put forward higher technical requirements for battery consistency and quality control in r6 battery processing lines. It is objective to introduce industrial robot technology. However, in China, most of the robot system integration is concentrated in the automotive industry, machine tool loading and unloading and other large-scale connected manufacturing and processing lines. The main processes that lithium-ion batteries have to go through during processing are as follows:

     

    In the main processes of r6 battery manufacturing, stacking, welding and cutting are three processes connected front and back, and they use automated or semi-automated special machines. Before the transformation, the connection and flow between the three processes require manual intervention, and continuous processing cannot be achieved. The labor intensity is high and the consistency of battery products cannot be guaranteed.

     

    1. Stacking machine

     

    The positive and negative electrode materials of lithium-ion batteries are separated by diaphragms to prevent short circuits. The positive and negative electrodes are pre-loaded into the electrode magazine box. The positive and negative electrodes are counted and stacked alternately by the manipulator. After the stacking is completed, the robot arm places the wires on the stacking table tooling, and the workers on the processing line take them away for the next process.

     

    2. Ultrasonic welding machine

     

    The worker holds the stacked battery and sends the tabs to the welding position. Through the high-frequency elastic vibration of the acoustic system, the positive and negative tabs of the stacked battery are welded under the clamping purpose of the static pressure between the workpieces. Under pressure, the metal surfaces are rubbed against each other to form a fusion between the molecular layers. Its advantages are fast, energy-saving, high fusion strength, no sparks, and close to cold production.

     

    3. Cutting machine

     

    The r6 battery tabs to be punched and cut are manually fed into the cutting machine blade. The cylinder movement is controlled to drive the cutting knife to cut the protruding part of the tabs. The cutting process must ensure the symmetry of the tabs on both sides and the temperature of accuracy and quality.
