Enevate launches ultra-fast charging feature for its lithium batteries
Enevate Corporation, a leader in lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery technology, announced the launch of ultra-fast charging capabilities for its batteries equipped with HD-Energy® technology. It has been verified that Enevate's ultra-fast charging function can charge 90% in 15 minutes (4C charging rate). Compared with current traditional lithium batteries, battery energy, capacity and performance have been improved.
Headquartered in Irvine, California, Enevate has developed advanced lithium batteries based on new materials and battery designs. The 502030 battery has a thinner and lighter appearance, significantly increased volume energy density and weight energy density, and its charging rate is significantly improved compared to existing traditional lithium batteries. Enevate's innovative HD-Energy technology uses a silicon-based composite anode for rechargeable lithium-ion polymer batteries. Compared with traditional lithium batteries using graphite anodes, its energy density is significantly increased by 25-50%, and Compared with the current improvement rate of 502030 battery technology, it is more than ten years ahead in technology. Enevate's new batteries can be used in smartphones, tablets, ultra-thin laptops and drones to run longer, be smaller and lighter.
Enevate CEO Brian Wong said: "Enevate will continue to add new performance levels to our technology. Ultra-fast charging is another breakthrough technology of Enevate. Now users can fully charge their phones in the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee, and at the same time Battery energy and capacity are improved."
Dr. Benjamin Park, founder and chief technology officer of Enevate, said: "Because of the faster kinetics of the silicon-lithium reaction and many other reasons, the charging rate of Enevate batteries can be 5-10 times faster than traditional batteries. Enevate's unique silicon-lithium batteries can achieve both Ultra-fast charging and high energy density. The battery prevents lithium plating during charging and can maintain cycle life at high charging rates. "
For example, when charging using a 12Amp charger (4C charging rate), a 3000mAh Enevate battery equipped with HD-Energy technology can be charged to 90% in 15 minutes without battery energy and capacity degradation. When charging the same 3000mAh Enevate battery using a 6Amp charger (2C charging rate), it can be charged to 90% in 25 minutes.
Jarvis Tou, executive vice president of marketing and product at Enevate, said: "Our customers have found this ultra-fast charging feature useful and differentiating their mobile devices, and they are very excited to implement this feature in their products as soon as possible. Enevate's batteries and technology transform the way users use their mobile devices and improve their device performance."
