    According to industry reports, lithium-ion power batteries are currently the most widely used new energy vehicle power batteries, but the energy density of the batteries has become a bottleneck in industrialization. "The energy density of a CR2032 battery refers to the electrical energy released by the average unit volume or mass of the CR2032 battery."     According to reports, lithium batteries include positive electrodes, negative electrodes, electrolytes, diaphragms and other key parts. The positive and negative electrodes are where chemical reactions occur, which are equivalent to the "Ren and Du" of the human body. "Since the current energy density of negative electrode materials is much greater than that of positive electrodes, positive electrode materials have become the 'short plate of the barrel.'" Wu Kai said that to increase energy density, positive electrode materials must be continuously upgraded.

     

     

    "The stable supply of high-performance high-nickel cathode materials in batches is a key technical difficulty." Wu Kai said. To this end, CATL relies on the National Engineering Research Center and through collaborative development with upstream and downstream units in the industrial chain, gradually realizes the production of domestic high-nickel materials. large-scale production and application.

     

     

    CATL also targets flaws in negative electrode materials. At present, most of the industry uses graphite as anode material. As the demand for cruising range escalates, graphite can no longer meet the market's expectations for CR2032 battery energy density, and silicon-based anode materials are regarded as "substitutes."

     

     

    "The application of traditional silicon-based materials mainly uses carbon coating technology, but the coated carbon materials will break and fall off after multiple cycles, resulting in poor CR2032 battery cycle performance." Wu Kai said that CATL turned to research on artificial electrolyte interface films Coating technology. It took more than two years to develop a new artificial electrolyte interface film-coated silicon-carbon composite anode material with independent intellectual property rights. Its cycle performance is significantly better than that of foreign products.
